Vigan Fiesta
Vigan hosts the City Fiesta and Longganisa Festival in January. a celebration emphasizing the natural and cultural history of the town. There will be a lengthy week of festivities starting on January 16 in honor of St. Paul the Apostle. St. Paul visited barangay churches and offered nine days of novena mass. The several patron saints of each barangay engage in a somber procession on the ninth day of the novena, which is followed by a eucharistic ceremony.
Vigan City's streets are once more crowded with vibrant displays, carnivals, with people dancing in the streets after two and a half years. On the feast day, great celebration, including the celebration of the holy eucharist was attended by many parishioners.
There was also a large march in which several groups took part. Also, thousands of locals and foreign tourists typically attend the event. A large group of people anxiously waited in the side streets to see the Longganisa street dance on an exceptionally hot and beautiful afternoon. Street dancers don silky, flamboyant attire, and some even sport abel. The street dancers perform around Vigan's streets, showcasing their talent and grace with mesmerizing grins and glances.
